Siltronic receives prestigious Ludwig Erhard Award
Munich, June 28, 2023 – Siltronic AG was awarded the Ludwig Erhard Prize in bronze at an awards ceremony in Berlin on June 23. This makes Siltronic one of 12 companies honored for their holistic management achievements among 60 applicants. This year, the award ceremony took place in partnership with the initiative "Germany - Land of Ideas" initiative by laudator Peter Altmaier.
The judges were particularly impressed by the fact that Siltronic's highly specialized wafer production is carried out in close, trusting collaboration with customers. This enables fast reactions in volatile markets. Siltronic demonstrates diverse approaches to sustainability and is the only wafer manufacturer to be a member of the Responsible Business Alliance, an association of leading companies in the electronics industry that promotes social and environmental responsibility and ethical business practices worldwide.

The award, initiated by the leading associations of German industry, has been presented annually since 1997 and is under the patronage of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action. It is one of Germany's most prestigious corporate awards and honors management achievements that have earned "Excellence made in Germany" in terms of customer orientation, process optimization and innovation, while at the same time focusing on particularly sustainable development of the company. The award is presented on the basis of an assessment of the respective companies using the model of the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM).
